Defining a Regional Identity
Vraiment Memphré
Eureka! The MRC de Memphrémagog launched “Memphrémagog Detours” in June 2024. This web-based tool is designed to help you take it slow, admire the scenery and (re)discover the region on foot, by bike or by car.
It’s a way of shaking things up and giving new life to the “Memphrémagog… Vraiment” initiative, which was introduced in fall 2018. The “Vraiment Memphré” (Truly Memphré) label was intended to promote the region through a focus on its cultural assets and unique characteristics.
Exploring the MRC de Memphrémagog on Foot, by Bike or by Car
When visiting our beautiful corner of the world, be sure to take at least one detour!
What we mean by a “detour”:
- Taking the time to explore the region on foot, by bike or by car.
- Turning down side roads so you can take it slow and live in the moment.
- Stopping to chat with local farmers and craftspeople.
- Admiring the view from the scenic lookouts that dot our roads and trails.
- And so much more!
Ready-Made Detours
Use our dynamic web-based tool to discover a broad selection of ready-made day-long excursions.
With between two and four stops each, these detours feature panoramic views of the region along its many scenic drives. Offering a range of culinary, sensory and cultural experiences, and well as opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors on hiking trails and cycling routes, Memphrémagog Detours has something for everyone.
Custom Detours
You can also design your own detour. Using the interactive map, select one or more activity categories and one or more municipalities. That’s all it takes! A fact sheet is available for each stop, allowing you to tailor a detour to your interests and the length of your stay.
