The Elephant Barn
Built in the 1830s, the Elephant Barn can be found at the end of Elephant Road, off Magoon Point Road in the village of Georgville (Stanstead Township). The building was transformed into a restaurant in the 1930s. Then, in 1983, Denyse Payeur and Jean-Paul Clermont converted it into an art studio.
The barn is currently undergoing renovations, with work expected to continue until 2026. The new owner aims to rejuvenate the 190-year-old structure while pursuing its artistic mission.
