Épicerie Campobasso is surely one of Mansonville’s best kept secrets. In addition to a great selection of gourmet treats and a wide range of locally produced alcoholic beverages, this cozy Italian delicatessen serves up traditional homemade focaccia. Baked fresh daily, the pillowy texture and delicately cracked surface sprinkled with coarse salt provide a truly unforgettable taste experience. Ask about the daily specials! Épicerie Campobasso has everything you need for a gourmet meal on the go!
As you leave the shop with an armful of ingredients for an Italian-inspired snack, cross Principale Street and head for Manson Place. Located in the heart of the village, this small park is equipped with picnic tables and a public piano. Visitors can enjoy free outdoor concerts every Sunday in July and August. Dance to the live music from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.!
La Bouffée d’Air, a recreational tourism company committed to supporting the local economy as well as the environment, is just a minute down the road. Take advantage of the electric bike, kayak, canoe or paddleboard rentals and explore the nearby bicycle paths and Missisquoi River. Later, cool off with a frozen treat served in a reusable container. Various games are also available on site for your family’s enjoyment.
Missisquoi North River Park is located directly behind La Bouffée d’Air. In recent years, the park has undergone major improvements. Additions include a splash pad, a refrigerated skating rink, riverside walking trails and a multi-purpose shelter used for the Potton Covered Market. During the summer, the market is open Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Rain or shine, you’ll find a variety of vendors on site!
