Start the tour by stocking up on fresh vegetables at Espace Hors Champs. This one-of-a-kind destination offers inspirational experiences for private groups. Packages include lodging, tours of the gardens where a variety of organic crops are grown, chef-prepared meals, and a range of other activities and events. During the summer, an organic vegetable and flower market is held every Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. The market is open to the public and you can subscribe to a mailing list to find our what products will be available two or three days in advance. Back in the car! A seven-minute drive through the forest will bring you to Blue Lavande. Don’t miss your chance to visit this lavender growing operation tucked between the highway and central Magog. When you arrive, take a moment to revel in the peaceful surroundings and fragrant air. The shop is brimming with treasures, including natural body care products, scented creations for your home and lavender-flavoured treats. Sample exquisite chocolates, subtly flavoured honeys and soothing herbal teas. Your sweet tooth is sure to be satisfied! Weather permitting, why not bring along some lunch and enjoy a picnic in the lavender fields? You can also take advantage of the many on-site activities. Make your day even better with a stop at Canton Brasse, a microbrewery that produces quality craft beers using local ingredients. Pilsner, stout, NEIPA, IPA, fruit beer, red ale, grisette... Chat with the knowledgeable staff and take home some cans or bottles of your favourite brews. If you have the time, attend one of the different theme nights: Pub Quiz Mondays, poetry readings, music and comedy performances, creative workshops, and more. After quenching your thirst at Canton Brasse, head next door to Aux Deux Tomates for delicious stone-baked pizza. You’re sure to have a great time!
The last stop on this tour of must-see attractions is a five-minute drive up Bice Road. Ferme Marilau will enchant anyone who appreciates quality meat. With a firm commitment to animal welfare, the farm raises cattle, pigs, chickens and lambs. From growing animal feed to meat processing and sales, everything happens on site.
